Edna June Clark was born in Rumford, Me., on June 17, 1923. She graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford and Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. She was a student nurse during World War II and received her registered nursing degree on October 17, 1946. Maine General Hospital (later Maine Medical Center) employed her from 1946-1980.
